The first-generation Volvo S80 was built on the P2 platform and sold in North America from 1999-2006. The S80 was Volvo's executive luxury sedan with various engine options. These included a naturally aspirated 2.9 liter inline 6 for the base model, a twin-turbocharged inline 6 for the T6 model, as well as the familiar 2.5-liter low-pressure turbo Volvo 5 cylinder option. It was available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. The S80 was strictly a full-size sedan, with no station wagon or estate versions available.
