A smooth and comfortable ride is often a priority when cruising down the road. Shocks absorb bumps and imperfections in the road by controlling suspension travel and the “up and down” movement of the suspension. Shocks live a hard life in just typical daily-driving, and the strains of heavy use under performance applications may warrant a shift towards a sport focused damper/spring combo.

No matter whether you have a soft daily driver or stiffened canyon cruiser, all springs function to support the vehicle's weight and work symbiotically with shocks to make for a more comfortable ride. Spring length also influences the height of the vehicle, so regardless of the stance you’re searching for, FCP Euro brands provide the solutions for any ride height, stiffness, or use case that you may need.

Referencing coil-over-shock, coilover kits are your best option for overhauling and customizing your suspension system. Freedom of adjustment through adjustable ride height, spring preload, damping, rebound, and even spring rate allows you to achieve maximum handling versatility for your specific application.

These dampers do so through proprietary internal valving rather than the common electronic dampers found on newer cars today, meaning an entirely-mechanical adaptive damper. If you are looking for a sporty European ride without sacrificing comfort over rougher roads, KONI Special Active is a great choice.

Evolve

Evolve has developed these dampers in conjunction with Bilstein UK over a period of years. As good as the original Bilstein dampers are, Evolve wanted to tailor them for use with lowering springs and MSS Height Adjustable Springs. Evolve worked with Bilstein to change the valving to make the comfort setting even more compliant and the Sport + setting slightly stiffer giving more range of damping given by the electronic modes in the EDC-equipped E90, E92 and E93 M3. These dampers can be used with stock or any lowering springs on the market that work with stock dampers, including MSS Adjustable Springs. They will not work with KW HAS/BMW M Performance HAS.

B2BFAB Camber Correcting Lift Kits

For the Atlas and the majority of road-going vehicles, a small amount of negative camber is dialed into the front and rear suspension to offer proper handling. When an Atlas is lifted with a bolt through a spacer lift kit or spring lift the negative camber of the front wheels is reduced or removed. With no camber adjustment present on the front suspension components, zero camber or even positive camber is unavoidable with bolt-through lift spacers or spring lifts. The proper amount of negative camber ensures optimal contact between the tire and the road through all handling maneuvers. When the front camber is outside of the manufacturer's specified range in the positive direction, the handling is floaty, twitchy, and generally unstable at highway speeds. Unfortunately, the Atlas does not have a way to adjust the front camber.

B2BFAB Complete Lift Kit Packages

Complete lift kit packages provide everything necessary to deliver both functionality and comfort in a lifted suspension setup. By raising the ride height and optimizing the suspension geometry, these kits help maintain smooth on-road traveling while preventing issues like tire rub from larger off-road tires through relocated fender liner mounts. They also replace critical one-time-use VW/Audi hardware, extend rear shocks for better compliance, and incorporate upgraded sway bars, engine mounts, and bearings to maintain confident handling with the added height.

Engine mounts are designed to keep your engine and transmission supported and fixed to your vehicle’s frame or subframe. Common materials in various engine mounts are made of include rubber or metal, and are prone to deterioration and rust. Like bushings, upgrading to polyurethane or aluminum mounts can increase engine noise, but in return will cut engine rocking and adding durability. Be certain to shop for your use case, as a hardened rubber versus polyurethane mount choice can greatly affect your driving experience.

Bushings on your car from the factory are likely made of rubber. This is excellent for comfort, compliance, and a quiet ride, but their flexibility is subpar for heavy cornering abuse. Upgrading to something like a polyurethane, solid, or spherical bushing in places like your subframe, mounts, or control arm bushings will increase noise and vibration, but will massively improve durability, chassis stiffness, and dynamic performance.

As the name suggests, sway bars connect opposite sides of your suspension to reduce the vehicle's "roll," or sway; other common names are anti-roll or stabilizer bars. Reducing body roll aids in a more planted feel around corners, and an additional key benefit to a sway bar upgrade is the general lack of notable increase in noise, vibration, or harshness in typical daily use. This handling upgrade is hardly noticeable until you begin to lean on your suspension in the corners.

Street-Focused

034Motorsport

Manufactured from high-durometer rubber instead of polyurethane, 034Motorsport Street Density Motor Mounts are redesigned with performance in mind without sacrificing comfort. As rubber does not pack and wear like polyurethane does, which ultimately results in a long-lasting part with consistent performance and comfort, it’s properties provide greater comfort over polyurethane for mounts. The mount bodies are made from high-quality cast aluminum using OEM production techniques and employ emulators to replicate the electronics of the factory motor mounts for plug-and-play installation. This ensures MIL-free operation for cars equipped with active motor mounts.

Powerflex

Powerflex’s street and performance can be found in Powerflex’s signature purple (sometimes yellow) “Road Series” mounts. These mount inserts are designed for on-road sport applications as an upgrade for your daily driver. The polyurethane insert fits into the voids in the original mount to provide a quick and easy way to limit engine movement and provide additional engine stability under acceleration and gear changes. While inserts are a good way to prolong the life of the original mount, it is recommended that they are fitted to mounts that are still in good condition and without cracking.

SuperPro

While most vehicles use rubber in their bushings due to their low harshness and relative durability, SuperPro’s polyurethane engine mount inserts are significantly stronger and more durable than their rubber counterparts, making them suitable for anyone looking for an affordable modification for increased on-road feel. You may notice added noise and vibration with these mounts, though this is normal as polyurethane does not absorb vibration as well as rubber due to its increased stiffness.

Track-Focused

Powerflex Black Series

Powerflex’s “Black Series” racing-quality bushings are significantly stiffer than their street counterparts and are designed for vehicles that are driven hard for minimum bushing deflection. Powerflex Racing Black bushings are up to 80% stiffer than OEM and are denoted by "BLK" at the end of the part number. All polyurethane products, from low to high-durometer, are designed to last, featuring a proprietary design that does not need to be re-lubed once installed.

034Motorsport

034Motorsport's Motorsport Mounts are the new addition in track performance for 034Motorsport. These mounts are designed with ultimate performance in mind. They are manufactured from billet aluminum and high-durometer rubber, making them virtually indestructible while maintaining better ride characteristics than polyurethane alternatives. These mounts have a lifetime guarantee regardless of power level applied and the type of track racing they are used for.

Street-Focused

Powerflex

Powerflex’s street and performance can be found in Powerflex’s signature purple (sometimes yellow) “Road Series” bushings. These bushings are designed for on-road sport applications as an upgrade for your daily driver with all-inclusive bushing upgrade kits available. Replacing old worn-out rubber bushings with stiffer and less compliant polyurethane will restore and enhance the stability, performance, and driving dynamics. In addition to the driving benefits, polyurethane will not oxidize, degrade, flex, and stretch, meaning you will get a longer service life out of polyurethane bushings. In most cases, it will be the very last time you have to replace them.

SuperPro

While most vehicles use rubber in their bushings due to their low harshness and relative durability, SuperPro’s polyurethane bushings make them suitable for increased on-road feel. As the rubber on these bushings degrades or cracks, they will no longer provide a rigid connection and cause problems in handling and ride quality. Pressing out the original worn bushing and replacing it with a poly bushing instead of replacing the complete system is cost-saving and increases performance, but fully-assembled control arms inclusive of upgraded bushings may be available for your car.

Whiteline

Whiteline’s bushings are specially designed to improve deflection rates for improved response and chassis control. As bushings have a heavy influence on vehicle dynamics, Whiteline’s high-quality synthetic elastomer bushings, a type of polyurethane, are bonded to the outer sleeve to help retain grease, reduce noise, and increase durability and chassis performance under acceleration, braking, and cornering.

Track-Focused

Powerflex

Powerflex’s “Black Series” racing bushings are significantly stiffer than their street counterparts, and are designed for vehicles that are driven on race tracks for minimum bushing deflection, being up to 80% stiffer than rubber and 25% stiffer than their purple or yellow “Road Series” poly bushings. Occasionally, racing black bushings are used in street applications in positions where excess load puts significant demand on a bushing, and noise, vibration, and harshness are not affected by the stiffer material.

034Motorsport

034Motorsport adjustable sway bar upgrades are made from a single piece of high-quality, 25.4mm thick spring steel for maximum rigidity and are designed to combat understeer while reducing body roll under hard cornering. On the street and track, 034Motorsport’s upgraded sway bars substantially reduce understeer and body roll without compromising comfort on the street. In addition, the 034Motorsport rear sway bar for the MQB platform specifically is engineered to be used with the stock front sway bar. No upgrade in the front is required, aiding in turn-in rotation. Upgrading sway bars can improve handling performance at the limit and can allow you to greatly tune the way your car behaves through a corner, all while providing no palpable change to comfort in general use.

ST Suspensions

ST Anti-sway Bars improve the driving dynamics of your vehicle and complete your suspension upgrade.  At their US subsidiary in Clovis, California all of their ST stabilizers bars are specifically manufactured for each application from heavy duty aircraft steel on a state of the art production line. Depending on the vehicle, their ST Anti-sway Bars can be adjustable, allowing you to dial out unwanted handling behavior at a higher level for improved grip, handling, balance, and a high-quality feel that does not affect overall comfort.

Dinan

Anti-roll bars are a key component of modern suspension systems, designed to minimize body roll and enhance stability. However, factory-installed anti-roll bars are often tuned for everyday use over performance, resulting in excessive flexibility that can compromise driving dynamics. Every Dinan tuned anti-roll bar is specifically designed for each BMW chassis to deliver a sharper, more responsive driving experience. By reducing body roll while maintaining just the right amount for optimal grip, it helps keep your BMW more level through corners, improving mechanical traction. The result is a more planted, confident feel in every turn—making this an essential upgrade for driving enthusiasts, whether on winding back roads or the track

Whiteline

By reducing body roll, lateral loads are spread more evenly across the tires, thereby increasing cornering grip and improving outright performance. These Whiteline adjustable sway bars increase grip and handling, therefore increasing overall performance. It is a cost-efficient handling improvement that you can DIY, and the benefits extend to not only improvements in handling but also safety and tire wear without affecting ride quality or comfort.

Powerflex

Rubber bushings tend to get soft and pliable over time, allowing the sway bar to flex too much. Stiffer bushings restore stability and performance. Powerflex sway bar bushings have a slit to install the bushing over the bar, even though it may not be visible in the photo. Powerflex Street Purple and Yellow bushings are 10-30% stiffer than OEM rubber, and Racing Black bushings are up to 80% stiffer.

SuperPro

Factory sway bars are made out of rubber to help keep noise down. However, factory rubber bushings are known to tear especially when a car is driven hard. This polyurethane kit from Super Pro is designed to address the failure issue as well as create a stiffer mounting point for the sway bar. This will help increase handling performance and is an effective and simple upgrade that is often overlooked on most cars.
