The MK8 Golf R

The MK8 Golf R is the latest evolution of VW's most capable performance hatchback. With 315 horsepower, new AWD system by Magnatorque, a refined chassis, and a parts catalog that rewards the enthusiast owner, it stands as the top-spec Golf in VW's current lineup. For anyone who has followed the VW R lineage from the G60 Limited through the MK4 R32 and beyond, the MK8 is the natural next chapter in that story.

FCP Euro's Take

We built this car to pay direct tribute to the G60 Limited, the original top-spec Golf and the vehicle that laid the foundation for the VW R badge. Named the R60 Limited in its honor, this MK8 build takes a deliberate, understated OEM+ approach. Lowered stance, classic-inspired Altermann wheels, subtle motorsport-nod graphics, and a serious mechanical upgrade list underneath. It looks at home at a VW meet and turns serious lap times. This is what it looks like when you own your MK8 R with intention.
