The Mercedes W211 is the third-generation of E-Class models sold from 2003-2009 and was an evolution of the previous W210 generation E-Class. 2006 introduced a mid-generation refresh along with replacing the E55 AMG model with the new E63 AMG model which had a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 vs the E55 AMG's 5.4 liter supercharged V8.
