The Volvo 700 Series also known as the 740 or 760 series is a mid-size vehicle produced by Volvo from 1982-1992. The 700 series was introduced with the Volvo 760 as a replacement for the 200 series. The 740 was then introduced as a cheaper less luxurious version of the 760. Both sedan and station wagon versions were available along with a Bertone designed 780 Coupe. Engine options included naturally aspirated and turbocharged 4 cylinders as well as a 2.8 liter V6. The 700 series was later replaced by the 900 series.
